Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Addiction Recovery Advocate to join our team at the North Colorado Health Alliance.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of addiction recovery principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a member of the Northern Colorado Health Alliance's Addiction Response Team to help design and implement community events and participate in community workgroup meetings.
  • Participate in family support programs to increase knowledge of opioid/naloxone and assist loved ones towards treatment.
  • Help plan and implement community events raising awareness about addiction, treatment, recovery, and overdose.
  • Attend community workgroup meetings and connect community members to supportive services.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years in active personal recovery from substance use disorder.
  • Experience working with individuals struggling with addiction, preferably those with opioid use disorder.
  • Cultural competence and ability to empathize with others' experiences.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • An estimated annual salary of $45,000 - $60,000 based on location and experience.
