Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Food Safety Programs: Develop, implement, and maintain effective food safety programs to ensure compliance with USDA regulations and company standards.
  2. Lead Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to food safety protocols and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Train and Develop Team Members: Provide training and guidance to team members on food safety procedures and protocols.
  4. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless execution of food safety protocols.
  5. Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Requirements: Stay current with changing regulatory requirements and ensure that our food safety programs are aligned with industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Operations Management, Biology, or Chemistry.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Certifications: HACCP certification and knowledge of USDA regulations, including GMP, SSOP, and HACCP.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to multitask, and proficiency in Microsoft computer software.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Sedentary work with occasional movement to other offices or buildings, and exposure to wet and moist floors.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to temperatures, humidity, and noise levels typical of a food processing facility.
