Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Improvement Coordinator to join our team at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality and performance improvement initiatives within the nursing department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, process, and coordinate information related to quality and performance improvement for the Department of Nursing.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing improvement projects.
  • Analyze data to inform performance improvement actions and promote quality outcomes for patients, families, and staff.
  • Monitor clinical, operational, and organizational performance to ensure patient safety and quality care.
  • Prepare and present data to performance and utilization committees.
  • Assist departments in implementing evidence-based practice and enhancing performance improvement efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory standards and ensure compliance with performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Ohio required.
  • Current Health Care Provider BLS training from the American Heart Association required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management and quality improvement preferred.
