POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, this role involves assisting in the personal care and safeguarding of residents within our Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and embody the vision, mission, values, and objectives of Amber Grove Place.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all individuals, whether in person, online, or over the phone.
  • Provide care for residents, following all facility protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist with various aspects of resident care, including:
    • Personal hygiene and grooming
    • Bathing and dressing
    • Light housekeeping and bed making
    • Support with mobility and transfers
    • Accompany residents to activities and events
  • Report any unusual symptoms or behaviors to the appropriate personnel.
  • Engage actively in delivering outstanding customer service through our established service standards.
  • Monitor emergency call systems and respond appropriately to alerts.
  • Collaborate with dining staff to assist with resident meals and related tasks.
  • Maintain accurate daily documentation.
  • Participate in emergency procedures, including drills.
  • Adhere to safety protocols in all work tasks.
  • Provide courteous service to residents, guests, and colleagues.
  • Attend all required training sessions and meetings.
  • Uphold and advocate for the rights of all residents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and staff information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Follow established policies regarding resident rights and mandatory reporting.
  • Remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Preferred: at least one year of caregiving experience.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Shifts may include AM, PM, NOC, and evening hours with a rotating schedule.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • First Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Criminal background clearance is mandatory.
  • Health screening and tuberculosis clearance are necessary.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Reliable transportation is required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Understanding of infection control policies.
  • Familiarity with personal hygiene and cleaning protocols.
  • Knowledge of resident care policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records regarding residents.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to operate basic office equipment for monitoring purposes.
  • Capable of using cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility and positioning.
  • Must be able to recognize various sensory stimuli.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

  • Ability to interpret and utilize various informational documents.
  • Proficient in preparing reports and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with residents and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a community setting.
