Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Reefer Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic Reefer Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and complex mechanical and electronic repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Work unsupervised on most tasks and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints.
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
  • Act as a mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
  • Complete additional duties as required to support operations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
  • Basic tools, required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
  • All other certification as required by location, required.
