Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Supervisor to join our team at Sea Mar Community Health Centers. As a Medical Assistant Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of Medical Assistants and LPNs, assisting with patient flow issues, and performing procedures as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the performance of Medical Assistants and LPNs
  • Assist with patient flow issues, including performing procedures as needed
  • Assist with patient acute illness screening, administrative duties, and managing phone messages for providers
  • Manage the overall function of the pod, including quality assessment, improvement, medication inventory, supplies, biohazards, infection control, and audits
  • Work collaboratively with the Nurse Manager and other healthcare team members to provide the best outcome for patients and the organization
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assistant with the State of Washington
  • Over a year of ambulatory and supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of OB/GYN medical terminology and procedures
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide patient education and demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
