Cardiovascular Care Specialist

About the Role:
Oklahoma Heart Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiac Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice of Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Ghani.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough cardiac assessments, including medical history review, physical exams, and diagnostic tests interpretation.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiac conditions, in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.
- Prescribe medications, adjust dosages, and monitor patients' responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on cardiac health, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Provide follow-up care to monitor patients' progress, address concerns, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in cardiac care through continuing education, conferences, and professional development activities.
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards of practice, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and documentation guidelines.
Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner: National certification from a national certifying body acceptable by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing in the following specialties: Adult Gerontology Acute Care (AG-AC NP) or Acute Care.
- Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification within 60 days of hire.
- Physician's Assistant: Baccalaureate degree or a minimum of two years of college credit or graduate from ARC-PA approved program.
- Current license as a Physician Assistant with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure.
- Clinical Nurse Specialist: Completion of a formal program of study approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing which is designed to prepare registered nurses to perform in an expanded role in the delivery of health care.
- National certification from a national certifying body acceptable by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing in Acute Care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cardiology experience preferred.
