Job Summary

Oklahoma Heart Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Critical Care Department. As a Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional cardiac care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess the hemodynamic status of critically ill patients, performing head-to-toe assessments and evaluating all body systems, rhythms, and invasive lines, tubes, and drains.
  • Administer, titrate, and monitor critically ill patients on critical medications, communicating effectively with physicians and surgeons regarding concerning status changes or body system specifics.
  • Operate and maintain advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps, assistive heart pumps, continuous dialysis machines, hypothermia induction and maintenance devices, defibrillators, and others.
  • Stay current with BLS and ACLS certifications, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing program.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of continuous experience in telemetry or related cardiac clinical setting preferred.
  • Registered Nurse with current Oklahoma licensure.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at the time of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 18 months of hire.
