About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patient identification and obtain patient history to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Operate CT scanners to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of CT algorithms and image manipulation techniques.
  • Administer oral and IV contrast according to protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Transfer images to PACS, UNCH's EMR, and other relevant systems, verifying and segmenting images as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required, including maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and precepting new employees and students.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligibility, with a copy of diploma from accredited program required for registry eligible candidates.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
  • Current competency in HCP BLS.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 36 hours per week. The salary range is $40.09 per hour, with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity. The work assignment type is onsite, and the work schedule includes weekends. The location of the job is Eden, NC (Rockingham County).
