Speech Language Pathologist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Allendale County School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing prevention, assessment, and remediation services to students with communication disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech language and hearing screenings as necessary.
Adhere to established timelines for re-evaluations, annual reviews, and submissions of compliance paperwork and reports.
Conduct assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports to determine strengths and concerns in area of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills.
Follow due process procedures with regard to screening, evaluations, and placement of students into speech therapy.
Attend and/or conduct Individualized Education Program (IEP) conferences in a professional manner with appropriate knowledge of state guidelines, district policies, and federal legislation.
Write and update appropriate and effective annual and short term goals for every student on caseload.
Act as Team Leader for assigned students.
Provide speech/language services as prescribed by students' IEPs.
Establish and maintain a therapy schedule which is compatible to student and staff at the school.
Keep therapy data for program planning and decision making for individual students.
Submit reports which meet local and state requirements.
Maintain current files for use by authorized school personnel.
Safeguard confidentiality of student records.
Maintain accurate and ongoing Medicaid documentation and submit in accordance with local guidelines.
Complete daily service notes and progress reports according to district timeline.
Work in cooperation with school faculty for various meetings, professional development, committees, etc.
Attend professional development opportunities as provided by the district.
Provide information input/feedback for parents through a variety of communication techniques.
Maintain inventory per school of assessments and equipment/materials.
Prepare materials and provide professional development for staff needs to include augmentative or alternative communication systems or feeding as needed or per job responsibility.
Provide services for homebound and private students, if warranted.
Maintain mileage as appropriate and applicable.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Principal, Director of Special Programs, or Speech Program Specialist.
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Valid SC Teaching License in the following area: Speech-Language Therapist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with limited exposure to environmental conditions.
The noise level in this environment is quiet to loud depending upon the activity in the particular part of the day.
Terms of Employment:
The terms of employment detailed in this job description are based on full time employment during an entire school year.
Conditions of employment are adjusted for part time employees or individuals who are hired for less than an entire school year.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually according to Board Policy.
