A leading structural steel fabricator company, Salvi Steel Fabricators, LLC, is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee the purchasing, delivery, deployment, and erection of structural steel projects for medium to large public/government jobs in New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project management over the purchasing, delivery, deployment, and erection of structural steel projects.
  • Coordinate work and report to the Director of Operations and other project managers.
  • Assist in estimating and bidding processes.
  • Prepare regular job status and budget reports.
  • Escalate issues to management as required.
  • Assist in resolving project-related issues, delays, deliveries, and on-site work.
  • Provide job site support, supervision, and issue resolution for ongoing projects.
  • Track project progress and report time and budget variances to management.
  • Maintain key contractor relationships for all structural steel trades.
  • Monitor job for potential change orders and scope variances.
  • Draft AIA monthly completed percentage billing pencil copies.
  • Prepare and manage procurement and deliveries of steel products to the job site.
Requirements:
  • Comprehensive experience with project management for at least 5 years.
  • Experience in the construction industry for medium to large public/government jobs.
  • Experience with structural steel projects.
  • Experience in material take-off during estimating processes.
Desirable Skills:
  • Project Management training and/or certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
