Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Coordinator to join our team at Ascend Talent Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of capital improvement projects, ensuring compliance with company and county safety requirements and codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and submit departmental invoices for accuracy and approval.
  • Coordinate and document construction activities and projects with Project Managers.
  • Draft contracts, change orders, and purchase orders for projects.
  • Manage documentation of capital and tenant improvement projects, including drawings, minutes, correspondence, and close-out packages.
  • Coordinate cash flow reports on projects with project teams to assist in monthly reporting.
  • Organize and maintain file systems, and provide back-up support for Property Management and Project Management staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 2 years of general office/administrative experience, as well as 1 year of commercial real estate or related industry.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures, and familiarity with accounting software programs such as Nexus and MRI.
  • Excellent computer skills and demonstrated working knowledge of computers and software, including MS Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, attentive to detail, with excellent follow-up skills, and ability to adapt to changing environments and perform in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
