About the Role

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team as Section Head. This is a unique opportunity to lead and contribute to the development of our Hospital Psychiatry service, working closely with medical, surgical, emergency, and social work services to address the complex medical and behavioral health needs of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert consultation and liaison services to patients and healthcare teams
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve quality and safety of care
  • Lead and manage the Hospital Psychiatry team, ensuring high levels of quality and productivity
  • Collaborate with department leaders to achieve strategic and business objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including medical and surgical teams, nurses, and social work professionals
Requirements
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatrist
  • Consultation-Liaison Fellowship training and C-L Board Certification preferred
  • Leadership experience in psychiatry
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority
