Adventist Health is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our Medical Imaging department as a Managed Care Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the processing and scheduling of patients, coordinating film storage and filing, and assisting radiologists to maintain department throughput.
Key Responsibilities- Managed Care Referrals: Process and send referrals to the managed care claims department, ensuring accurate and timely communication with patients and specialists.
- Patient Communication: Communicate patient needs and information to specialist/provider offices, and coordinate with insurance companies for authorization and follow-up referral information.
- Administrative Tasks: Open, process, and distribute mail daily, maintain an organized workload, and provide excellent customer service and patient satisfaction.
- Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
- Education and Experience: High school education or equivalent, associate's/technical degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience, and medical insurance experience preferred.
