Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Clinical Nursing Specialist, you will work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients.

You will provide clinical leadership for other staff and assume relief charge duties when designated. Serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Provide clinical leadership for other staff and assume relief charge duties when designated.
  • Serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care.
  • Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of New Mexico. Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within six months of hire. PALS certification required within six months of hire.
