About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Principal Architect to join our team at Atlassian. As a key member of our architecture team, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our products and ensuring they meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of our software products, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and meet the needs of our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and design, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping them to grow and develop their skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with a strong background in designing and developing scalable, secure systems.
  • Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering complex projects on time and on budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical skills, with expertise in areas such as cloud computing, containerization, and DevOps.
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems, with a strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
