Job Summary

The 2nd Shift Assistant Maintenance Chief position will be based in a manufacturing environment, overseeing machine service and repair, and ensuring plant efficiencies and performance. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge in plant systems, electrical control troubleshooting skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with HR and lead other mechanics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain plant efficiencies and performance
  • Respond to calls quickly and professionally
  • Continually improve processes to reduce waste and improve efficiencies
  • Drive and motivate subordinates in 6S leadership
  • Execute all preventative maintenance work orders or programs
  • Develop a work environment that promotes continuous improvement, trust, teamwork, and safety
  • Assist with building strong teams
  • Adhere to Union Bargaining Agreements Guidelines

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a manufacturing/production environment within a related industry
  • Strong technical knowledge in plant systems
  • Strong electrical control troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to interface with HR and lead other mechanics
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles/6S
