Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director of Special Projects & Strategy for Business Services to join our RTX team. This role will report to the VP of Business Services and will be responsible for leading operational efficiencies and driving cross-functional initiatives across RTX Business Services globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of special projects across Business Services to improve operational performance in alignment with business strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to help align the organization's objectives and define the 5-year business strategy, roadmap, and vision.
  • Provide a sounding board on matters of strategy, execution, and operations to the VP of Business Services.
  • Lead special projects in the Business Services' service domain areas (Finance, People, Payroll, Procurement, etc.) as needed to improve performance.
  • Manage cross-functional projects with effective project management to track progress, resolve highly complex issues, and influence business leaders.
  • Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies across the organization and provide recommended solutions to close.
  • Share best practices and industry lessons learned to grow the shared services competency across the organization both within Business Services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in areas such as Finance, HR, Procurement, Management Consulting, Strategic Planning, or a similar field and 12 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of project management experience executing autonomously and leading multiple, strategic projects with minimal oversight or direction.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and administrative abilities.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, solve complex problems, lead through ambiguity, and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.
  • Experience building proven relationships and influencing all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to work across multiple functions with highly matrixed teams who do not report directly into you.
  • Knowledgeable across external, Global Business shared services' best practices in industry and ability to translate those best practices to RTX.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
