Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead our complex program/projects with regards to time, budget, and scope, ensuring quality, time, and budget objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to program/projects, ensuring effective governance arrangements and risk management.
  • Lead key transformation initiatives and execute one or more value streams to support the delivery of strategic technology projects.
  • Balance Agile/Hybrid Project and Program management duties to help software development teams build and deliver solutions.
  • Oversee internal and external systems/application development projects within a program from inception to successful implementation.
  • Assist with getting projects off the ground, keeping them on track and on budget, and resolving issues.
  • Monitor Agile metrics for the program and develop agile teams, improve development processes, and product quality and quantity of work delivered.
  • Develop consolidated project plans, specifying high-level goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
  • Ensure project methodologies are followed and all mandatory project work products are completed for projects within the program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years in program management, including large complex transformational programs.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models and knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Experience in leading IT project teams that contain vendors, on-shore/offshore Developers, Business Analysts, Architects, Data Analysts, QA, etc.
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Agile Project Management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira/Greenhopper, Rally, etc.
  • Planview, Clarity, or like PPM tool.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Powerpoint, Excel.
  • Proactive, takes initiative, accountable, self-motivate.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including meeting facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Collaborator and team player, with the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Ability to work and think independently, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to share knowledge at different levels, be hands-on with the team as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Agile Certifications desired (e.g. PMI-ACP, SAFe, CSM, etc.).
  • PMP Certifications strongly desired (e.g. PgMP, PMP, etc.).
  • P&C Insurance experience desired.
