Job Title: Student Affairs Coordinator

Join Duquesne University's College of Osteopathic Medicine as a Student Affairs Coordinator and play a vital role in enhancing the overall student experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate student-related programs, services, and events to foster a positive and inclusive campus environment.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to address student needs, promote engagement, and contribute to the development of a vibrant DUQCOM community.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and providing insight for official events, including new student orientations, the White Coat ceremony, and graduations.
  • Advise student organization leaders on creating new student organizations, organizing and implementing club activities, and coordinating event management.
  • Support the development and organization of programs that celebrate and recognize cultural diversity and foster a sense of belonging for all members of the DUQCOM community.
  • Assist with promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and ensuring that all students feel welcome, valued, and represented.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in a life science or STEM-related field.
  • Experience and training in a higher education environment, with knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Proficiency with current Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher, as well as Outlook email.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and have a valid PA driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in the healthcare field, medical education field, or other student-facing positions.
