Job Requirements:

As a Data Engineer II at American Family Mutual Insurance Co., you will work independently and collaborate with cross-functional business and IT stakeholders to provide and maintain data, reporting, and analytical solutions for large scope and high-impact critical projects. You will provide flexibility to specialize in one area and/or play multiple roles across business data analysis, design, development, and support functions. You will develop broader and deeper functional and technical skills in data and analytics as well as develop expertise in business data domain systems. You will design data pipelines and sub-components of a project. The position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Science, or a related field and five years of professional experience in any related occupation. Additionally, the position requires five years of experience using SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, TFS, SSDT, Visual Studio, and Visio; five years of experience extracting and managing data from Oracle, SQL Server, Greenplum, and Files; five years of Data Warehouse experience; five years of SQL, ETL, and Report development experience; two years of experience with any programming language such as Python; one year of experience utilizing Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies; one year of experience supporting insurance computer systems; and practical Cloud Technologies experience such as AWS or GCP. Alternatively, the employer will accept a master's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Science, or a related field and two years of professional experience in any related occupation.
