Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer at Sift Healthcare, you will play a critical role in designing and developing data pipelines to integrate disparate systems and curate data for machine learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
  • Build and maintain the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
  • Work with business and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems and assist with data-related technical issues
  • Ensure timely processing of daily batch processes
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience
  • Experience in Python and libraries such as pandas, NumPy, dask, polars, etc.
  • Experience with Git or other source code control tools
  • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
  • Experience and proficiency using Linux and shell scripting
  • Experience with Docker or containerization technologies
  • Experience with AWS cloud-based services, especially Athena, EC2, RDS, Lambda
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing tools such as Snowflake
  • Experience building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to be self-motivated and work with little supervision
