Job Title: Software Development Engineer II

Centene Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our team. As a Software Development Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise software solutions in C#.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software modules at various levels of complexity, including service interfaces, process flows, service messages, SOA components, business logic, UI/UX, or data access logic.
  • Develop efficient code in various development languages for enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Design and develop software solutions and process flows complying with standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Execute against project plans and deliver assignments within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Create, execute, and evaluate unit/integration tests.
  • Adopt and adapt to newly approved technologies, programming languages, tools, and standards.
  • Identify, assess, and formulate architectural impacts and solutions from business requirements.
  • Collaborate to ensure application designs utilize appropriate patterns and standards.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints, including the ability to estimate work needed.
  • Assess functional and nonfunctional requirements and create designs to meet both business and technical needs.
  • Create conceptual and detailed technical design documents.
  • Provide implementation expertise contributing to rollback, post install, data migration, and other artifacts as required including creation of support plans.
  • Adhere to security management practices and promote established security standards.
  • Identify and resolve problems, often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow, develops and evaluates options, and implements solutions.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
  • Requires 2 – 4 years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
  • One or more of the following skills are desired: C#,.NET, SQL, Oracle, SQL Server.

  • Competitive pay: $72,400.00 - $130,100.00 per year.
