As an independent contractor, you will play a vital role in our dynamic field team, performing evaluations on complex roofing structures, assessing damage both externally and internally, and executing property inspections for underwriting purposes. Our inspectors leverage cutting-edge technology to evaluate property damage and mitigate further deterioration until permanent repairs are initiated.
Essential Skills for Successful Inspectors:
- Expertise in safely navigating and inspecting various roofing types, especially steep and elevated roofs
- Technical proficiency to conduct evaluations in diverse weather conditions
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Empathy in dealings with policyholders
- An entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience in roofing, construction, or insurance claims is beneficial, but not essential
Qualifications for This Position:
- Possess a reliable Truck, Van, or SUV capable of transporting a 32' ladder
- Skilled in completing inspection documentation on a device approved by Hancock
- Familiarity with MS Office applications such as Outlook and Teams
- HAAG Certification is advantageous
- Willingness to obtain any necessary certifications or credentials to join our contractor network
