Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Cynet Health in Peoria, IL.

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for administering medical gases, medications, airway clearance, mechanical ventilation, and other respiratory modalities to patients in various units, including general floors, intermediate units, ICU, and emergency department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of respiratory care principles and be able to apply theoretical knowledge for the care of pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medical gases, medications, airway clearance, mechanical ventilation, and other respiratory modalities to patients in various units.
  • Monitor levels of supplies and equipment for department and patient care areas.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge for the care of pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.
  • Demonstrate competence in respiratory skills, problem solving, and critical thinking.
  • Perform respiratory skills within legal scope and in accordance with the Respiratory Care Practitioner guidelines.
  • Deliver respiratory care activities for patients in various units, including general floors, intermediate units, ICU, and emergency department.
  • Execute lifesustaining interventions during emergencies, including Rapid Response calls and Blue Alerts.
  • Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced modes of ventilation.
  • Administer specialty medical gases, including Nitrogen, Heliox, and Nitric Oxide.
  • Assess patient to evaluate therapy effectiveness and recommend changes if necessary.
  • Document interventions and responses in accordance with regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  • Participate in rounds with the interdisciplinary team in ICUs and intermediate units.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a respiratory therapy program from an accredited school.
  • Basic electronic medical record documentation skills.
  • Understanding that the workplace is a drug-free environment and ability to produce a negative drug screen for all panels.
What We Offer:

Cynet Health offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a weekly pay range of $2029 to $2254. Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are welcome to apply.
