Nuclear Quality Control Inspector Job Description

Hawk Technical Services LLC is seeking a skilled Nuclear Quality Control Inspector to provide inspection and examination support. The successful candidate will review work packages to ensure inspection and examination requirements are met based on required codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify required inspection and examination (NDE) requirements and ensure they are met.
  • Perform inspections and examinations to verify compliance with codes and standards.
  • Identify and report non-conforming issues and concerns, and confer with management to resolve issues and provide recommendations.
  • Manage or participate in surveillance activities to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Review and evaluate closure of nonconformance reports to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Participate in internal and vendor audits to ensure quality and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Level I NDT Certification in at least one discipline, with Level II certification preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of previous nuclear experience.
  • Bachelor or Associate's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or equivalent related experience.
  • AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification is desired.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as good leadership skills to manage Quality Assurance oversight activities.
  • Ability to wear a respirator while working.
