Key Responsibilities:
As a Circuit Board Assembly Technician, you will:
- Execute assembly tasks for printed circuit boards in accordance with established procedures
- Prepare components by cutting and forming
- Manually place through-hole technology (THT) components
- Assemble chassis components using various hardware
- Suggest improvements to documentation to enhance quality
- Follow general team member requirements
- Complete additional assignments as directed
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous waste generated in your work area
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Basic skills in component identification (THT)
- Ability to follow work instructions for simple tasks
- Proficiency in component preparation using hand tools
- Capability to read and adhere to assembly instructions
- Meet the general requirements for team members
Physical Demands:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Physical requirements include:
- Continuous standing and walking
- Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 20 lbs
- Fine manipulation of components
Experience and Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required. Six months of experience in printed circuit board assembly is preferred. Candidates must be capable of completing necessary training and certifications as outlined in the training matrix.
Work Environment:
Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary. The role involves exposure to a light manufacturing environment, which may include occasional unpleasant odors.
