The Arc of Ocean County is seeking a passionate Community Recreation Facilitator to enhance our Family Support Department. In this position, you will play a vital role in developing safe, engaging, and meaningful experiences for individuals with disabilities in Ocean County.

As a Full-Time Community Recreation Facilitator, your primary responsibility will be to work alongside individuals with disabilities in a supportive social setting. Your objective will be to assist participants in enhancing their social skills, fostering community integration, and engaging in recreational activities both within our facilities and in the broader community.

The ideal candidate will accompany groups on various outings, social gatherings such as dances and fitness sessions, and provide essential support during diverse activities. You will also assist with transportation using agency vehicles and ensure the seamless execution of all planned events. It is crucial to actively involve participants and exemplify positive social behavior as a role model throughout the programs.

Work Schedule: Tuesday to Friday 1 PM - 9 PM, Saturday 9 AM - 5 PM

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate, Bi-Weekly Payment Schedule

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid NJ Driver's License with a clean driving history
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • High School Diploma or GED required
