Overview

CHI Saint Joseph Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Resource Flex team. As a Clinical Flex RN, you will have the opportunity to work in various Medical Surgical and Telemetry units within Saint Joseph Hospital and Saint Joseph East.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients of varying age groups by utilizing the nursing process and nursing practice standards.
  • Maintain competency and application of scientific knowledge necessary to meet patient needs.
  • Float to different departments within the facility to assist in providing patient care.
  • Conduct care assessments and interpret assessment data to determine care needs and constraints.
  • Successfully complete system-based and hospital-specific competencies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of observations, treatments, teaching, medications, care given, patient response, and integrate into plan of care.
  • Implement a plan of care based on established standards of care/practice, policies, and procedures, incorporating cultural, religious, psychosocial, physical, and age-related issues.
  • Possess knowledge of medications and administer safely and accurately.
  • Appropriately delegate and supervise routine technical functions to non-licensed and licensed personnel.
  • Evaluate patient outcomes and revise the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family.
  • Negotiate with the patient/family and healthcare team members to come to an acceptable resolution of conflicts resulting from patient care or organizational issues.
  • Demonstrate an appreciation of the hospital mission as a teaching institution by acting as a resource for employees, students, and residents.
  • Support patient and family-centered care, promoting that environment within the care provided.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Kentucky.
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications.
  • Minimum one year of experience as an RN in an acute care facility.
