We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Lowell General Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.

About the Role

In this critical care position, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care to critically ill patients on our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Our PCU is a 36-bed unit that provides telemetry, step-down, or intermediate level of care for patients requiring peritoneal and hemodialysis, cardiac catheterizations, pacemakers, internal cardiac defibrillator placement, post-operative monitoring, and interventional radiology.

As a Critical Care Nurse, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient. You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing continuous cardiac monitoring and oxygen saturation monitoring as needed
  • Administering medications and performing procedures safely and effectively
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care transitions
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care nursing
  • Critical care experience required
  • Able to read and interpret Tele strips independently
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
