Role DescriptionAs a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our semiconductor division. You will collaborate closely with the engineering team to devise unique and innovative testing solutions for our cutting-edge products. Your expertise will be essential in working alongside the applications team to refine the final device specifications through thorough characterization and product evaluation.
Your responsibilities will encompass the entire new product introduction process, including:
- Feasibility analysis
- Design for test
- Hardware design
- Device debugging
- Temperature characterization
- Long-term support for offshore production
It is your responsibility to ensure that each device meets Renesas' stringent quality standards. Additionally, you will continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency, yield, and reduce testing costs.
In this role, you will take ownership of project timelines and tackle a variety of challenges with occasional guidance.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- 3 to 5 years of experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE); familiarity with Microflex & Advantest 93K is preferred, and ETS364/800 experience is a plus.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in ATE test development for analog, digital, and mixed-signal devices.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, BASIC, Perl, and Python.
- Experience in testing and data collection on IC chips or circuits using standard tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Strong skills in ATE analog digital instruments, PCB layout parasitic reduction, and debugging/troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience debugging analog products with serial bus interfaces.
- Experience in test hardware and test program development.
- Willingness to travel 0-10%.
