Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers and drive sales.
- Make managerial decisions and take initiative in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Monitor retail operating costs, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient operations.
- Research emerging products and update the store's merchandise to meet customer demands.
- Conduct regular audits and walk-throughs to ensure the store is functional and presentable.
- Monitor and maintain store inventory, ensuring the store is fully stocked and neat at all times.
- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning to maximize sales.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs to provide exceptional customer service.
- Coordinate daily customer service operations, including sales processes, special order requests, and payments.
- Ensure store schedules and objectives are met by employees and track progress towards weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
- Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs.
- Supervise and motivate staff to perform at their best and take disciplinary action when necessary.
- Coach and support new and existing cashiers to ensure excellent customer service.
- Suggest sales training programs and techniques to improve sales performance.
- Maintain excellent grooming appearance and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
- Proven experience as a Retail Supervisor, Gift Shop, or similar position or hospitality industry background.
- Experience with recruiting and performance evaluation processes.
- Familiarity with financial and customer service principles.
- Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets, and sales statistics.
- Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular).
- Leadership and organizational abilities.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-solving attitude.
