The biweekly deduction from employee paychecks is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 for Employee plus Children, $120.00 for Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 for Employee plus Family.


FUNCTIONS STATEMENT:

  • Welcome and seat patrons while managing waiting lists for all poker games, ensuring exceptional customer service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and assist guests at the poker room podium.
  • Maintain and refresh waiting lists for all poker games.
  • Guide guests to appropriate games and ensure timely delivery of chips.
  • Monitor player levels to assist in game opening and closing decisions.
  • Announce and keep track of jackpot totals and payouts.
  • Retrieve guests when seating becomes available.
  • Ensure all necessary services for poker players are provided.
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism while on the premises.
  • Create an engaging and welcoming atmosphere for players.
  • Express gratitude to guests upon their departure and encourage their return.
  • Exhibit exceptional patience and public relations skills.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Poker Floor Supervisor, Table Games Manager, General Manager, Business Committee, or other management representatives.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THIS POSITION

  • Basic understanding of how to create a pleasant and memorable gaming experience for guests.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and managing the flow of guests from entry to exit.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
  • General knowledge of various poker games.
  • Ability to remember names and recognize regular guests.
  • Understanding of appropriate methods for greeting guests.
  • Awareness of public health practices regarding hygiene and contamination control.
  • Familiarity with the demographics of the surrounding area.
  • Knowledge of the history and culture of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.
  • Awareness of the amenities offered by the property.
  • Understanding of professional grooming and appearance standards.

FACTOR 2:
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS

  • The incumbent operates under the direct supervision of the Poker Room Shift Manager.
  • The supervisor assigns tasks, provides guidance on procedural changes, and is available for assistance as needed.
  • Routine tasks are performed independently following established procedures.
  • Work is reviewed for accuracy through spot checks and customer feedback.

GUIDELINES

  • Written and verbal guidelines provide specific instructions for task execution.
  • The incumbent also follows supervisor's instructions and industry standards in addition to handbooks and policies.

  • As challenges arise, the incumbent evaluates different courses of action and refines methods to resolve issues.
  • Occasionally, the incumbent may encounter unusual circumstances.

  • The objective of the work is to ensure customer satisfaction and generate profit through quality service in the poker department.

  • Contacts range from ordinary guests enjoying the property’s amenities to dignitaries representing various organizations.
