Job Summary:

The Dairy Department Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dairy and frozen food sections in our stores. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of dairy and frozen food sections, including shelves, floors, and storage areas.
  • Restock dairy and frozen food products, ensuring accurate pricing and labeling.
  • Inspect products for quality and expiration dates, discarding any expired or spoiled items.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and quality.
  • Operate equipment such as knives, scales, and compactors, as well as manual pallet jacks and hand trucks.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and management to achieve store goals.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and sanitation standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
