Job Title: Software Release Specialist I

The Veterans Sourcing Group is seeking an experienced Release Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in managing application releases in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

This position offers a competitive salary of $62/hr on w2 and a remote work arrangement with a preferred location in Oregon/Washington/California.

In this role, you will work closely with Engineering, Build, and QA teams to plan releases as per defined milestones. You will analyze release blockers, manage dependencies, mitigate risk, conduct release walkthroughs, and communicate release status.

The ideal candidate should have 7-10 years of experience managing projects and programs as part of release. A solid understanding of project and program management techniques, methodologies, and best practices is required. You should be proficient in using Project management tools such as MS Project and Smartsheet, and have working knowledge of SharePoint, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.

A strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will also have self-drive, be a great team player, responsive, accountable, and detail-oriented.
