Job Title: Vendor Specialist

At The Yay Company, we're passionate about providing high-quality meals to students in our partner schools. As a Vendor Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our meals are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with local vendors to verify meal orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist vendors with labeling and organizing meals for distribution.
  • Verify and sort all orders before distributing to lunch coordinators.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure meals are safe and properly handled.
  • Ensure the space is clean and left free of trash or company property.
  • Complete vendor check-ins to ensure compliance with company protocols.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while representing The Yay Company.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in customer service, food service, or related fields is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
  • Flexibility to work early morning hours, as scheduling will depend on each individual vendor's needs.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for meal deliveries.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Smart phone and basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Compensation:
  • $18.50 per hour.
  • Data stipend.
