Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Six Flags. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical systems throughout the park, including lighting, facility electrical systems, and other electrical components as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and maintain the electrical components of the park's rides and equipment, including lighting.

Perform general electrical work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, including changing transformers, running conduit, and pulling wire using a variety of hand and power tools and standard measuring instruments.

Make standard shop computations relating to the dimension of work and select materials necessary for the job.

Welding and soldering skills are preferred for a natural transition into the position.

A thorough knowledge of the National Electricians' Code is required.

Ability to work with varying voltages up to and including 13,000 volts.

Basic analytical skills are necessary to organize the workload and establish priorities.

Ability to read materials, including blueprints and drawings, to interpret and analyze content.

Ability to write to explain or describe.

Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 75% of work activities.

Requirements:

Associate Degree (2-year College or Tech School)

5 Years Related Experience

At Least 18 Years of Age

Must be able to work from ladders, lifts, and platforms.

Must be able to read electrical schematics, charts, diagrams, and blueprints. Must be able to identify electrical wires by color.

Complex Problem Solving: Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Ability to work a schedule that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Valid state Driver's License

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
