About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and/or Diabetes Self-management Education/Training (DSMT) to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement patient care plans based on diagnosis and exercise sound judgment and developed clinical skills.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited degree program and a supervised practice program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • RD-Registered Dietitian/RDN-Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certification or eligibility to sit for the registration examination for dietitians within 90 days of hire.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR).
