Job Summary

As a Registered Dietitian II, you will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and/or Diabetes Self-management Education/Training (DSMT) to patients. You will exercise sound judgment and developed clinical skills to implement the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and care, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
  • Provide complex care using a strong understanding of human anatomy, pathophysiology, pharmacology, laboratory results, and medical terminology.
  • Interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited degree program and a supervised practice program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • RD-Registered Dietitian/RDN-Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certification or eligibility to sit for the registration examination for dietitians within 90 days of hire.
  • 2 years recent relevant experience.
