Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager plays a critical role in supporting the mission of Hospice of Holland Inc. by overseeing various HR functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage external job advertisements, post positions, conduct interviews, process background checks, and organizational onboarding.
- Assist the HR Director with administration of employee benefits, including timely and accurate enrollment processing, reviewing monthly billing for accuracy, and troubleshooting employee issues.
- Perform payroll-related tasks accurately and timely, including maintenance of employee payroll data, entry, verification, and approval of changes affecting payroll processing, and ensuring all time entry is complete, accurate, and ready for processing.
- Assist employees and leaders with routine, day-to-day HR-related issues and questions, providing accurate and timely guidance on HR policies and procedures, researching and resolving payroll and benefit issues, and responding in a timely manner to requests for information and/or documents.
- Promote a positive organizational culture through HR initiatives and communication.
- Assist in enforcing HR policies and procedures.
- Manage the Wellness Facilitator role, take an active part on the Wellness Committee, and maintain the Wellness Program annual budget and program offerings.
- Maintain employee files and records, ensuring they are organized, timely filed, and compliant with state and federal laws and organizational policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit complete and accurate ad hoc and periodic reports as assigned.
- Organize and/or provide support for employee activities and events.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in a human resources role, including payroll, employee relations, recruiting, and benefits administration.
- Prior managerial experience.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
