Job Description:

The Director of Recreational Activities will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging activities program that meets the diverse needs and preferences of our residents. This includes developing and implementing therapeutic recreation programs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing leadership and guidance to the therapeutic recreation team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential preferred
  • Proven experience in developing and leading therapeutic recreation programs
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Compassion and empathy in working with seniors
  • Interest in the needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
