We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Science Specialist to join our team in Hematology/Oncology. As a key member of our medical affairs department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the scientific and business objectives of our company.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical development, with experience in managing territory initiatives and developing professional relationships with external experts. You will be responsible for executing high-impact territory plans, identifying and translating specific territory and corporate needs into actionable strategies, and providing education on disease states, therapeutic landscapes, and AbbVie products to healthcare providers and researchers.
This is an individual contributor position that requires strong problem-solving and analytic skills, as well as leadership attributes that align with our company-wide initiatives. The successful candidate will have the ability to quickly learn and apply foundational skills in scientific storytelling, identifying mobilizers, powerful questions, and active listening.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Execute high-impact territory initiatives, including HCP and investigator engagement plans in alignment with hematology and oncology medical and scientific objectives.
- Identify, gain access to, and develop professional customer-centric relationships with external experts in therapeutic areas within assigned geography.
- Deliver on territory plan objectives, meet assigned project deadlines, and achieve annual functional goals.
**Requirements:**
- Advanced degree preferred in a relevant scientific discipline; doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical discipline.
- Greater than or equal to 2 years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry-related experience or equivalent preferred.
- Oncology experience is preferred.
**Estimated Salary Range:** $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
