Position Overview

Evapco is seeking dedicated Equipment Maintenance Specialists for the overnight shift to support our expanding operations. The primary responsibility of these roles involves the upkeep, repair, and installation of various metal manufacturing machinery, including but not limited to shears, presses, punches, welding equipment, lasers, tube mills, and spinners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance, inspections, and repairs on all production machinery, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Maintain, repair, and refurbish forklifts, man-lifts, company vehicles, and cranes.
  • Provide training to less experienced maintenance staff.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and propose effective solutions.
  • Engage in team problem-solving initiatives focused on quality, safety, waste reduction, and process enhancements.
  • Achieve or surpass annual targets for safety, quality, organization, and productivity.
  • Participate in training sessions as directed by management.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls during and outside of scheduled shifts.
  • Complete maintenance requests and work orders efficiently.
  • Execute plumbing, welding, electrical, and construction projects as needed.
  • Be available during inclement weather events.
  • Regularly perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery, vehicles, and forklifts.
  • Engage in mechanical diagnostics to identify issues and document findings appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including parts supply and tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of industrial electrical systems (120/277/480 volts), mechanical systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic principles.
  • Proficient in fabrication techniques, including welding, grinding, plasma cutting, and torch operation, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with various measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial calipers, electrical multimeters, and pressure gauges.
  • Basic proficiency in shop mathematics.
  • Experience with common hand and power tools.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Work may occur in manufacturing, office, and outdoor settings.
  • Physical activities include continuous standing, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • May require working at heights up to 40 feet.
  • May involve working in confined spaces and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
  • Standard work hours apply, with potential overtime and weekend work as necessary to ensure critical equipment functionality.
  • Good mechanical dexterity and cognitive skills are required.
