About the Role
The Concessions Cashier is a key member of our hospitality team at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and efficient service to guests, handling cash and credit transactions with accuracy and speed.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels to ensure a smooth operation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction and maintain a positive work environment.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Food and Beverage experience preferred.
- Able to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Team Player.
- NY Food Safety Certification a plus.
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands, and handle controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
