Job Title: Financial Associate

The Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Financial Associate to provide comprehensive financial support to faculty and staff. This position will report to the Administrative Manager and will perform most work activities in a systematic, complex, and deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconciliation of purchasing card transactions using SAP Concur
  • Process travel reimbursements, adhering to university policies and procedures
  • Process purchase orders and completion of confirming receipt of goods/services
  • Process Journal Entries
  • Process non-PO invoices
  • Prepare deposits and initiate JE
  • Provide general funds reports to faculty
  • Monitor budgets
  • Consult with Administrative Manager to address questions or concerns
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or higher plus 2 or more years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing supportive and responsive service
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A team player with a commitment to creating a positive and efficient working environment
