Associated Fire Protection, a leading fire safety solutions provider in Omaha, NE, is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to install, maintain, inspect, and repair critical fire alarm and special hazard systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fire safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs of fire alarm and special hazard systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately install systems.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain fire extinguishers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in fire alarm, security, low voltage, and/or systems maintenance a plus.
  • NICET I Certification in Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm Test & Inspect, or Special Hazards (or equivalent certification like ESA CAT L1) preferred.
  • Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
  • Ability to work safely in various environments, including construction sites.
Desired Skills
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems effectively.
  • Ability to make recommendations for system improvements.
Compensation

The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly wage of $24-$28 per hour, commensurate with experience.
