Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Compass Group USA. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Production and Service: Supervise and participate in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food, ensuring that all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met.
  • Team Management: Supervise hourly kitchen associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action.
  • Inventory Management: Track food use, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase product, and receive and inspect product and supplies for quality and quantity.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, production, and merchandising requirements.
  • Menu Development: Help select and develop recipes and menus that meet the needs of our customers.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume food service environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
