Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled General Manager to lead our Underground Division in the Midwest region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing project operations, fostering business relationships, and driving growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project operations across the Midwest region, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to promote open communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Monitor and maintain high-quality processes and standards across all areas of responsibility.
  • Oversee project profitability, taking corrective action as needed to ensure business performance meets expectations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors to drive business growth and improve communications.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President to evaluate capital expenditures and identify areas for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Assist the Division Estimator with the bidding process on new projects.
  • Develop and improve company personnel, fostering a culture of mentoring and employee cooperation.
  • Communicate with Traffic & Restoration division Managers to ensure resource sharing and joint responsibilities for customer job completions.
  • Collaborate with internal divisions, including Contract Administration, Human Resources, and Safety and Training, to ensure seamless job execution.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and manage financial statements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of computers and Windows-based software, with skills to analyze and make recommendations for financial and operational changes.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
