Job Summary

VareCo is a real estate investment firm seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both English and Spanish-speaking team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality results.
  • Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets project specifications, codes, and regulations, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is tracked.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, controlling costs and ensuring financial transparency.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees and adhering to industry standards.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team, clients, and stakeholders, effectively communicating in both English and Spanish.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, providing creative solutions and maintaining a positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction management, with a strong background in project management and team leadership.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, with relevant certifications and technical skills.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
