Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to support legal decisions and recommendations.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to complex legal issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of legal services.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing laws and regulations affecting our organization.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in Texas.
  • At least 8 years of experience in energy law, with a strong background in land operations and mineral leasing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, including land management practices and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board Certified Legal Specialist in Oil, Gas, and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
  • Experience working in a similar role at a law firm or in-house at an energy company or land management company.
  • High degree of professionalism, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
